We often talk about letting go of the monkey on our back, but the real goal in life isn't to get rid of our burdens it is choosing which ones are worth keeping.
We are constantly caught between two different monkeys:
One is easy to carry but feeds our ego, superiority, and overthinking to our own destruction. While the other is difficult, requiring intense effort, practice, discipline, and accountability to yield true personal growth.
Ultimately, we cannot live completely unburdened, so we must consciously decide whether we will carry the heavy weight of regret or the heavy weight of discipline.
